About Us

Sorab S. Engineer & Co. is an esteemed chartered accountant firm established in 1914 with offices in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Baroda. With its head office in Mumbai, the firm currently has a diversified and passionate team of about 100 persons lead by talented partners having professional experience ranging from 20 to 50 years in their respective fields. SSE has been consistently amongst India’s eminent chartered accountancy firms since last few decades. Mr. N. D. Anklesaria

Managing partner based in Mumbai

Mr N.D. Anklesaria is the Senior Partner in charge of the Firm in India and is based in Mumbai. With over 50 years of experience, he has served some of the largest groups and companies. Throughout his professional career, he has led engagements for large clients across a wide range of industries, particularly the manufacturing and financial services sector. As the Lead Client Service Partner, Mr N.D. Anklesaria has served several multi-locational and multi-currency clients, for statutory audit, tax audit and other certification work. He has extensive experience in accounting and reporting requirements under Indian GAAP, IFRS, IRDA etc.
He has been involved deeply in advising and attesting one of India’s leading financial institution to successfully raise an overseas offering of over 1 Billion US Dollar bonds. He has also led a wide range of special assignments, including mergers and acquisitions and public offerings.
He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Commerce graduate from Mumbai University.

Mr. M.P. Antia
Senior Partner

Mr. M.P. Antia is one of the Senior Partners and is based in Mumbai. With over 50 years of experience, he has served some of the largest banks, banking regulators, Insurance Companies and Educational Institutes. Throughout his professional career, he has led engagements for large clients across a wide range of industries, particularly the Insurance and Educational Services sector.
As the Lead Client Service Partner on many of these assignments, Mr. M.P. Antia has served and consulted with the Boards of several multi-locational clients, for statutory audit, tax audit and other certification work. He has extensive experience in accounting and reporting requirements under Indian GAAP, RBI and IRDA Regulations, Income Tax Matters etc.
He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Commerce graduate from Mumbai University.

Mr. Shreyas Chokshi
Lead Partner. L Capital.

Shreyas is the lead Partner in our Audit & Assurance practise based in Ahmedabad, with over 25 years of experience. He has led audit and advisory engagements for a variety of clients with a presence in India as well as overseas. He has served some of the largest clients of the firm, particularly in the Manufacturing, Educational services and banking and financial service sector.
Shreyas specialises in statutory audit and has led a wide range of special assignments, including mergers and acquisitions, financial due diligence, public offerings, regulatory-driven special assignments and investigations and finance transformation projects. He has expertise in the audit of large corporate bodies, Tax Audit, Internal Audit, System Audit, an audit of NGOs, Public Charitable Trust, Taxation and other corporate services.
Additionally, he serves as an Engagement Quality Control Review Partner on several audits of public listed entities. He has been involved deeply in advising and attesting India’s leading companies to successfully raise funding through public issues.
Shreyas is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India as well as a holder of a Diploma in Information Systems Audit (DISA) conducted by the ICAI.
He has secured 1st Rank in Standard 12 in Gujarat, 1st Rank in F.Y. B.com, S.Y. B.Com and T.Y. B.Com in Gujarat University, 3rd Rank in India in Inter C.A Exams, 8th Rank in India in Final C.A. Exams and 4th Rank in India in DISA (ICA).

Mr. P. N. Anklesaria
Lead Partner in our Audit & Assurance practise in Mumbai

Peshwan is a partner in our Audit & Assurance practise, based in Mumbai, with over 15 years of experience. He leads the Statutory Audit practice for manufacturing clients in Mumbai. Peshwan is responsible for handling and advising clients on key technical changes and matters that may affect them.
Peshwan has advised and served a large number of attest and non-attest clients on Indian GAAP, IFRS and on IND AS advisory across industry sectors, particularly banking and finance, manufacturing and infrastructure. He has been involved in advising and leading the team for the merger and acquisition in one of India’s largest shipping Company’s.
As the Statutory Audit Practise leader, Peshwan has gathered significant experience in helping clients to strengthen Internal Financial Controls as well as help in implementing various changes made under the Companies Act 2013. He has also assisted with Fraud and Risk Mitigation assignments across various clients and Industries.
This has provided him with deep insight into the accounting and reporting requirements under Indian GAAP, IND AS, etc. and in meeting requirements of RBI, SEBI and other significant regulators.
He is also a frequent speaker on Indian GAAP and IND AS related topics. Peshwan is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) as well as an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW). He is an LLB from the University of Mumbai and a commerce graduate from the University of Mumbai. He has also completed his Diploma in Information Systems Audit (DISA) conducted by the ICAI.

Mr. Bhavik Doshi
Lead Partner in our Audit & Assurance practise in Bangalore

Bhavik is the Lead Partner of the Bangalore Branch of SSE, with over 11 years of experience in performing and leading audits of large companies in the Textile, Branded Garments, Engineering Industries, NBFC and other service industry clients. He has experience of auditing and accounting under different GAAP i.e. IFRS, Indian GAAP and IND AS. He has been a part of IFRS and IND AS conversion for various clients. He has also been involved in the evaluation and testing of controls to ensure compliance with Internal Financial Controls (IFC) requirements. He has experience in working on varied assignments viz. Tax Audits for entities in industry and financial institutions, providing guidance and inputs on control and process improvements, providing guidance on accounting treatments, Internal Audit of Commodity Exchange and Pharmaceutical company which includes identifying company systems requiring in-depth attention of the Management and reporting to the Board of Directors.
Bhavik is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, an LLB from the Gujarat University, a Commerce graduate from the Gujarat University as well as a holder of a Diploma in Information Systems Audit (DISA) conducted by the ICAI.

Persis Anklesaria
Lead Partner. L Capital.

Persis has been associated with the firm for over 2 years as a Partner and is currently engaged in the Audit and Assurance services of the firm. She is based out of the Mumbai office. Prior to joining Sorab S. Engineer and Co., she was a Manager in one of the largest auditing and advisory firms in India. She has experience of over 13 years in the Audit and Assurance practice.

She has extensive knowledge of handling statutory and internal audits of various large Listed Public Companies, Unlisted Public Companies and Private Limited Companies under the Companies Act, 2013. She has been involved in the statutory audit of companies in the manufacturing, service, construction, media and entertainment and shipping industries. She has led the statutory audit team for one of India’s leading real estate developers. She has also led the internal audit team for clients in the information technology sector. She has been involved with India’s leading import-export financial institution to enable them to successfully raise billions of dollars from the International Bond Market. She has also worked abroad and has handled the statutory audit of one of the largest venture capital companies in the world, in addition to special assignments like process audits, mergers and acquisitions and regulatory certifications.

Persis is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Company Secretary (CS) from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and has completed her Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) and Master of Commerce (MCom) Degree from the Mumbai University.

Manthan Brahmbhatt
Junior partner based in Ahmedabad

Manthan is a partner in our Audit & Assurance practise, based in Ahmedabad with over 5 years of experience in audit and assurance, Income Tax, Indirect Tax and Management Advisory services of our firm.

He has been handling the Statutory and Internal audit of various large listed public companies, unlisted public companies, private limited companies and various premier educational institutions, public charitable trusts and audit of NGOs foraying into sectors like Textiles, Engineering Products, Pharmaceuticals, Garments, E-Commerce and Hotel Industry. He has been a part of IFRS and IND AS conversion for various clients. He has also led the internal audit team for clients in the Pharmaceutical sector strengthening Internal Controls of the Companies.

He has also handled the statutory audit of a venture capital company, in addition to special assignments like process audits, mergers and acquisitions, placement audits and management advisory services. He has advised various clients on taxation matters and future tax planning and implications as required.

Dhruv is a partner in our Audit & Assurance practise, with experience of more than 4 years in leading and managing an audit, GST, Income Tax and advisory teams for clients.

Amee has been associated with the firm for over 12 years and is engaged in the audit and assurance service of our firm. She has been handling the Statutory and Internal audit of various large listed public companies, unlisted public companies, and private limited companies.

She is the Lead audit manager on one of India’s leading NBFC Companies as well as one of India’s premier educational institutes. She has also handled the XBRL and various other Company Law Matters and other E-filings for various clients.

Akshay Mehta

Akshay is a manager in our Audit & Assurance practise, with professional experience of more than 9 years in the field of Indirect taxation, internal audit. Previously associated with huge conglomerates of the Automobile industry and FMCG industry looking after indirect taxation pertaining to compliances and litigation matters.

He has hands-on experience in Internal audit, Process audit, Information System audit, GST audit of listed companies, charitable trust, educational institution, encompassing various sectors such as textile, Non-Banking Financial Companies, clubs. He also handles Information system audits, GST audits and other advisory engagements required by the clients.
